Certificate of Good Standing

Attorneys who have been generally admitted to practice in the Southern District of Mississippi in accordance with Rule 83.1(a) of the Local Uniform Civil Rules of the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Mississippi and the Southern District of Mississippi should request a Certificate of Good Standing electronically within the Southern District of Mississippi CM/ECF system.  You must be registered for e-filing to request a Certificate of Good Standing.  If you are not registered for e-filing, please refer to the ‘Already Admitted but needing to Register for E-filing’ procedures found here: https://www.mssd.uscourts.gov/attorneys.

To request a Certificate of Good Standing, you must be prepared with the attorney’s Full Name, Mississippi Bar number, Admission Date (if known), Phone Number, and Email Address, as well as a credit card for payment of the fee. 

From the Utilities menu in CM/ECF, select the Attorney Certificate Request link, click Next, select Request for Certificate of Good Standing (the only available event) to place it in the “Selected Event” list, then click NextIt is important to follow all instructions, so please continue through the event until you see the Notice of Electronic Filing.  Please refer to the ‘ATTORNEY Instructions To Request Certificate of Good Standing’ procedures found here: https://www.mssd.uscourts.gov/attorneys.  The fee will be paid through pay.gov and the certificate will be emailed to you in PDF format.
